Rapid urbanisation is often seen as a challenge to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. However, if policy makers take a nexus approach to understanding how new technologies can transform a city’s energy, transport and infrastructure mix, this urbanisation may well present more opportunities than threats in encouraging a more sustainable world.
